Horn Academy

Horn Academy Somalia is a locally owned multi-disciplinary service Think tank platform based in Somalia that works with the international, local, and in line stakeholders, to identify community problems, design and implement projects that have far reaching socio-economic positive impacts within Somalia. Horn Academy Somalia has operational head offices in Somalia Garoowe with Sub-offices in Galkayo and Mogadishu. Horn Academy Somalia was registered as a national Think Tank organization in 2018, with annual renewal of certificate since then, specifically, Horn Academy Somalia focuses changing the lives of women, youth, and the under-resourced communities by empowering them with the right knowledge and skills, and linking them to sustainable Development. Horn Academy intends to mainstream the youth into the formally organized job market through market driven skill development interventions by Promoting Livelihoods and Self-reliance through agriculture activities, Fishery activities and Livestock activities through skills training and business developments initiatives.

Horn Academy Somalia envisions that of all Somalis live in a peaceful, inclusive, and cohesive society and participate in functional, inclusive, accountable and transparent democratic system all of government institutions to become y self reliant.

Mission

The mission of Horn Academy – Somalia is to contribute to the education of young people, through a value system based, to help build a better and great Somalia where people are self-fulfilled, self- reliant as individuals and play a constructive role in society”.

Goal

The ultimate of goal of Horn Academy- Somalia is to contribute in improving the living standard of the vulnerable communities of Somalia through community mobilization, capacity building, advocacy & strengthening of institutions at the grass root level.

Our Team

Horn Academy –Somalia’s structure is two leveled the Executive management level and the board level.  All these progresses are meant to ensure service delivery and support value for financial commitments as well as achieve the most out of the human capital available. This will support efficient implementation of interventions.To achieve this, at the primary management level the organization has gathered some of the best available individuals with various professional training and/or experience. These disciplines are predominantly associated with research analysis and development studies; policy studies, Education technology, Social science, financial management, computer Science, peace building, reconciliations, Governance and leadership.  Horn Academy Somalia has the requisite technical and organizational capacity to undertake to any project irrespective of the complexity and the magnitude. Horn Academy Somalia is currently implementing State building and reconciliation support project (SRSP) in Galmudug and Puntland Administrations
